PROBLEMS Movie 5 start


INT. L'S APARTMENT - MORNING


L wakes up at 7AM, groaning and stretching. He gets out of bed and begins to get ready to go to work. 


CUT TO:


INT. L'S WORK - MORNING


L arrives to work at 9AM. He's having trouble with his girlfriend and is trying to explain it to a colleague named Moony, who is laughing at the story.


L: I can't believe what happened last night!


Moony: (laughs) Tell me what happened!


L: Well, we were arguing and then she just stormed out!


Moony: (laughs some more) That's hilarious!


L decides to call his friend, L's, to tell him the story.


INT. L'S APARTMENT - CONTINUOUS


L is on the phone with L's, telling him the story of what happened last night. 


L: Yeah, so then she just stormed out! Can you believe it?


L's: (laughs) That's crazy!


L: I know, right?


They both laugh and L hangs up the phone. He finishes getting ready and heads out the door. 


FADE OUT.


INT. CAR - DAY


L is driving on the highway when his phone rings. He picks it up and answers.


L: Hello?


ON THE OTHER END


Person: Hi, is this L?


L: Yes, this is L.


Person: Great! We were wondering if you were at work yet?


L: No, I'm on the highway. I'll be there in ten minutes.


Person: That's perfect. See you soon.


L: Alright, bye.


L hangs up and continues driving.


INT. OFFICE - DAY


MOONEY and G MONEY are in the office, working.


MOONEY

So, what happened?


G MONEY

My girl caught me in a hotel with another girl.


MOONEY

Alright. We'll talk about this at lunchtime.


CUT TO:


INT. RESTAURANT - LUNCHTIME


MOONEY and G MONEY sit at a table in a restaurant.


G MONEY

I don't know what to do.


MOONEY

Well, have you talked to her about it?


G MONEY

Not yet. I'm scared of what she'll say.


MOONEY

It's never easy, but it's best to be honest. If she loves you, she'll understand.


G MONEY

You're right. I'll talk to her.


MOONEY

Good. I'm here if you need to talk.


G MONEY

Thanks.


CUT TO:


EXT. PARK - DAY


G MONEY and his girlfriend are walking in the park.


G MONEY

So, there's something I need to tell you.


GIRLFRIEND

What is it?


G MONEY

I was in a hotel with another girl.


GIRLFRIEND

What?!


G MONEY

I'm sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen.


GIRLFRIEND

I don't know what to say.


G MONEY

I understand if you're mad. But I still love you, and I want us to work through this.


GIRLFRIEND

I love you too. Let's try to work this out.


They hug.


FADE OUT.


FADE IN


EXT. APARTMENT BUILDING - DAY


We see D LOW, a young man in his twenties, walking up to the entrance of the apartment building. He looks a bit disheveled and has a blunt and some weed in his pockets.


INT. APARTMENT - DAY


D Low enters his apartment, sets down the blunt and weed on a table, and goes to the kitchen to prepare himself a light snack.


EXT. APARTMENT BALCONY - DAY


D Low steps out onto the balcony and lights up the blunt. He takes a few deep puffs and smiles as he exhales.


EXT. APARTMENT BUILDING - DAY


D Low is now walking back down the stairs of the apartment building, a bit more relaxed and energized. He looks up into the sky and takes a deep breath of fresh air.


FADE OUT.


INT. G MONEY HOUSE - DAY 


FADE IN 


SUPER: PHASE 2 DRINKS


The first three characters enter G Money House, chatting and laughing. They are greeted by the last character. 


LAST CHARACTER

Hey guys, did you want to go to the gym after work? 


FIRST CHARACTER 

Yeah, sure! Let's go!


SECOND CHARACTER

Sounds great!


THIRD CHARACTER

I'm in!


The last character smiles and leads the way. 


EXT. GYM - LATER 


The four characters enter the gym and start their workout. After a few minutes, they start to get tired, but they manage to finish their workout. 


INT. G MONEY HOUSE - LATER 


The characters arrive back at G Money House. They are all sweaty and exhausted. 


LAST CHARACTER

Well, that was a great workout! 


The other characters agree and start to chatter about their day. 


FADE OUT 


END


INT. WORKPLACE - 5PM


All the friends, D LOW, PHASE 2, and the others, gather together after work. They chat and laugh as they leave the workplace.


EXT. STREETS - 5:30PM


The group walks down the street, talking and joking as they go.


EXT. HOUSES - 6PM


The group splits up, each one heading to their own house. They all agree to meet back at the gym at 7 for a game of basketball.


EXT. GYM - 7PM


The group arrives at the gym, all in their basketball gear. D LOW is the last one to arrive. Everyone looks at him with interest.


D LOW:


What? I'm high? Alright, alright. Tell you what. I'll tell you the story if ya'll play ball with me.


The group laughs and cheers.


PHASE 2:


Yes! Tell us the story.


The group takes to the court and plays a rousing game of basketball, with D LOW taking the lead. As they play, D LOW tells the story of his day, and the group listens, captivated. 


FADE OUT.


INT. APARTMENT - DAY


The girlfriend, KAREN, is sitting on the couch, talking to her best friend, EMMA.


KAREN: G Money said my girl is mad at me. She found out.


EMMA: What happened?


KAREN: I don’t know how long this has been going on. I just found out. He’s been cheating on me.


EMMA: I’m so sorry, Karen. What are you going to do?


KAREN: I don’t know. I just can’t believe he did this.


EMMA: You have to talk to him. Tell him how you feel.


KAREN: Maybe I will.


EMMA: You deserve better. Don’t let him treat you like this.


KAREN: Yeah, you’re right. I have to do something.


FADE OUT.


Scene: 


(The scene opens with a woman searching through her boyfriend’s pockets and finding a piece of paper with a number written on it. She looks at it in confusion and then calls the number, putting the phone on speaker so her friend can hear the conversation.)


Woman: Hello, who’s this?


(There is a pause as the person on the other line answers.)


Person on the Other Line: Never mind who’s this, who are you?


Woman: (angrily) I’m the woman who you’re dating my man!


Scene 1 - Basketball Court


G Money and his girl are standing on the basketball court, both looking a bit nervous. 


G Money: Hey, so this is the spot, huh? 


Girl: Yeah, so here we are.


G Money: Yeah, I didn't know what you'd look like, so I'm glad to finally meet you.


Girl: Same here.


They both smile and laugh nervously, then start to move closer to each other. 


Scene 2 - Cafe


G Money and the girl are now sitting in a cafe, talking and getting to know each other. 


Girl: So what do you do for work?


G Money: I'm a freelance photographer.


Girl: Wow, that's really cool.


G Money: Yeah, I love it.


They talk for a while, getting to know each other better. 


Scene 3 - Park


G Money and the girl are now in the park. They are laying on the grass looking up at the sky.


Girl: This is so peaceful.


G Money: Yeah, it's nice to take a break from the city.


Girl: I know, it's nice to just relax and enjoy the moment.


They lay there in silence for a few moments, taking in the scenery. 


Girl: This has been really nice.


G Money: Yeah, I'm really glad we got to meet. 


They both smile and move closer to each other, finally embracing in a hug. 


THE END


Scene 1:


(Fade in. Low and Phase 2 are walking down the street, talking and laughing. They seem to be in a good mood.)


Low: Man, I'm starving. Let's go get something to eat.


Phase 2: Yeah, that sounds great! What do you want?


Low: Let's get some smoke, and something to drink.


Phase 2: Alright. I'll drive to my block to get some smoke, and you grab something to drink.


Low: Sounds like a plan.


(They part ways. Low walks offscreen. Fade out.)


Scene 2:


(Fade in. The girls are sitting together at a table, talking and laughing. They seem to have become good friends.)


Girl 1: So, what happened yesterday?


Girl 2: Oh, you know, the usual.


Girl 3: Yeah, it's always something.


Girl 1: Hey, let's get something to eat. I'm starving!


(They all agree and get up to leave. Fade out.)


FADE IN


EXT. STREET – NIGHT


Two young men, JOHN and JAKE, are walking home together. It is getting dark outside.


JOHN

Hey, I feel like it would be nice if our girlfriends came over.


JAKE

Yeah, that sounds like a great idea.


John and Jake take out their phones and call their girlfriends.


JOHN

Hey [girlfriend's name], what do you say about coming over?


JAKE

Yeah [girlfriend's name], why don't you come over?


John and Jake's girlfriends say yes.


JOHN

Great, we'll see you at our houses!


John and Jake hang up and keep walking.


FADE OUT.


G Money: Hey, what's going on?


Girl: I found a number in your pocket and I called the girl. We're here together. What were y'all talking about?


G Money: (nervously) Uh, nothing. Nothing at all.


Girl: Don't lie to me, G Money. I know you were up to something.


G Money: (sighs) Okay, I was gonna try to hook up with her. I'm sorry.


Girl: That's why you're on punishment. You were going to betray me like that?


G Money: Please, just give me another chance. I won't do it again.


Girl: I don't know. I'm not sure I can trust you again.


G Money: Please, just give me a chance to prove myself. I won't let you down.


Girl: Alright, I'll give you one more chance. But don't let me down.


Scene 1:


(The scene opens with John and Sarah sitting in the park. They have been dating for a few months and seem to be getting very close. John is telling Sarah a story when suddenly his phone rings.)


John: (answering the phone) Hey, what's up?


(John's face changes to one of surprise as he listens to the person on the other end of the line.)


John: Uh, okay. I'll be right there.


(John hangs up and looks at Sarah nervously.)


John: I'm sorry, I have to go. I'll explain everything later.


(John quickly gets up and leaves the park, leaving Sarah behind, confused and worried.)


Scene 2:


(John arrives at the address he was given and finds a group of people there, all of them looking at him expectantly. One of them steps forward and reveals herself to be John's girlfriend, much to his surprise. He apologizes for not telling Sarah about her. Sarah arrives at the scene and looks at them, hurt and angry.)


Sarah: Why didn't you tell me you had a girlfriend?


John: I'm sorry. I didn't think it was important.


Sarah: It's important to me.


John: I understand. I'm sorry.


(John and Sarah look at each other, both feeling the weight of the moment. Finally, John speaks up.)


John: Can we talk about this later?


Sarah: (hesitantly) Yeah.


(The scene ends with John and Sarah walking away from the group, both of them looking a bit uncomfortable.)


INT. BATTLE GROUNDS PARK - DAY


G MONEY and his GIRL walk through the park, hand in hand. They stop near a bench and sit down. 


G MONEY

So, what did you want to talk about?


GIRL

I just wanted to make sure that we're both on the same page. That we're both committed to this relationship.


G MONEY

Of course. I'm in this for the long haul.


GIRL

Me too.


They smile and G Money leans in for a kiss. As they kiss, the camera pans out, revealing the beauty of the park. 


FADE OUT.


FADE IN


EXT. STREET - NIGHT


Two teenage girls, KAREN and JENNY, are walking down the street, laughing and chatting.


G MONEY, a teenage boy, approaches them.


G MONEY

Hey, ladies!


KAREN

Hey, G Money! What's up?


G MONEY

It's getting late, so let's go home.


KAREN

Not so fast! We both have our own apartments. Why don't we hang out for a bit and play some games?


JENNY

That sounds great!


G MONEY

(smiling)

Yeah, let's do it!


They all enter Karen's apartment and start playing games. G Money starts to think about telling his friends about this, but decides against it. 


FADE OUT


INT. APARTMENT BUILDING - DAY 


G Money is getting ready for the day, when Moony, his friend, enters.


MOONY

What happened?


G MONEY

Nothing happened.


EXT. STREET - DAY


G Money and Moony walk down the street.


MOONY

Your first girlfriend told her co-worker, didn't she?


G MONEY

Yeah.


EXT. PARK - DAY


G Money and his first girlfriend meet up in the park.


G MONEY

Let me guess, both of you will be with him.


FIRST GIRLFRIEND

Yes, girl, I’m telling him.


G MONEY

Yo, I like this girl a lot.


EXT. STREET - DAY 


G Money and Moony walk down the street, talking about the girl.


MOONY

So, what are you gonna do?


G MONEY

I'm not sure yet. I don't want to get into more trouble.


MOONY

But you have to tell him sometime.


G MONEY

Yeah, I know.


INT. PARK - DAY


The sun is setting as two girls arrive at the park, one of them with a basket full of snacks.


GIRL 1:

Hi!


GIRL 2:

Hi! I'm so glad we could meet up today.


GIRL 1:

Me too. I brought some snacks in case you're hungry.


GIRL 2:

Thanks, I am a bit hungry. So, do you have kids yet?


GIRL 1:

No, not yet. But I'm working on it. Let's go for a walk in the park, shall we?


GIRL 2:

Sounds good.


The girls start walking around the park, talking and enjoying the scenery. After a while, they sit down and continue their conversation.


GIRL 1:

So, what do you think about having kids?


GIRL 2:

I'm definitely open to the idea, but it's a lot of responsibility.


GIRL 1:

Yeah, but it's a great experience.


GIRL 2:

True. I think it's worth considering.


The girls continue talking and enjoying the evening. The sun sets and they part ways, looking forward to their next meeting.


FADE IN


EXT. G MONEY’S HOUSE - DAY


G Money is walking home, a look of disappointment on his face. He enters his house and slams the door shut.


INT. G MONEY’S HOUSE - DAY


G Money walks into his living room and takes out his phone. He quickly dials up a group of friends.


G MONEY


(into phone)

Guys, I need your help. We have something to tell you…


CUT TO:


EXT. PARK - DAY


G Money and his group of friends are gathered in a park. He takes a deep breath and begins to speak.


G MONEY


We’re lesbians and we don’t want you anymore.


The group of friends are all silent. G Money hangs his head in disappointment.


FADE OUT


FADE IN


INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY


G Money and their friend are sitting on the couch.


G MONEY

They said for real and then they said what did you say nothing. 


FRIEND

I just left and today is Friday and Saturday is coming soon. What are we going to do?


G MONEY

I don’t know, let's go out to a club.


FRIEND

I’m with that until tomorrow. All right?


G MONEY

Yeah, sounds good.


CUT TO


EXT. CLUB - NIGHT


G Money and their friend are laughing and dancing in the club.
